Fund Administrator

Full-time

Reports to: Senior: Administrator

Purpose of the job:

To perform specific DC funds administration tasks ranging from take-on of new funds/members, data capturing & checking, processing of delineated benefits events and associated administrative duties.

Key Performance Areas:

Ensure adherence to regulations in order to minimize risk of fraud and inaccurate benefits payments
Provide client services function and records management services.
Process new admissions
Contributions collection and banking
Reconciliation of contributions received
Deal with specific problems as delegated by the Senior Administrator
Registry of documentation
Perform Data matches & audits
Provide documentation assistance services and records management
Perform data verifications, data updates and maintenance
Process benefits/claims, benefits statements and perform follow ups on outstanding information.
Member education and information sessions and liaise with participating employers
Implementation of new DC Funds and projects
Fully guaranteed lending (Pension Home Loan)
Generate and issuing of tax Certificates
Miscellaneous tasks, innovation, personal development

Requirements:
Job-related qualifications and experience

3 years Diploma in Administration, Accounting or equivalent from a recognized institution; NQF level 6
2 years’ work experience of which 1 year should be within an independent DC Funds/accounting role.
A retirement fund management qualification will be an added advantage.
The incumbent must have the following knowledge, skills and Attributes:

Knowledge of:
Financial accounting and financial principles, administrative processes, client benefits & options payable, creation, verification and auditing of member data on the systems, calculations modules, data processes and procedures, payroll procedures, pension fund rules and regulations, payment system and reconciling.

Skills:
Advising, analytical, decision making, customer services, report writing, communication verbal and report writing, administration and problem solving.
